The club season went out with a bang with a final doubles tournament in late October sunshine – we filled 7 courts and used our usual rotating format to mean everyone gets to play with everyone (in theory).
The following Thursday was the club’s big end of season night out – thanks to Andi for organising and taking us to the very pleasant Hewatts’s restaurant on Causewayside and the Cask and Barrell afterwards. As always engraved club trophies were presented – we pretty much took up the whole restaurant but the one other table of 4 were very understanding of the short 5 minute speech/disturbance to their dining!
As Xmas approached Andi revived her new idea of a December Miulled wine event in the club house following on from a club social session.
